بحسب دار الإفتاء المصرية، بدأ الشهر بناءً على ثبوت رؤية الهلال.

Egypt’s Dar al-Ifta has officially confirmed the sighting of the Shawwal crescent for 1447 AH on the evening of Thursday, March 19, 2026, in accordance with verified Sharia-based observation. Accordingly, Friday, March 20, 2026, marks the first day of Eid al-Fitr in Egypt.
